Taken on the approach to Hill Top, the more powerful bikes tend to pull wheelies as they approach the crest of the hill. A relatively straightforward side pan shot, ideally I would like to have used a slower shutter speed but found that I had to keep the shutter speed quite high as the bike was not only moving from left to right (which the panning would take care of) but also upwards within the frame as the wheel left the ground (which the panning could not take into account). Here was the benefit of digital photography as I was immediately able to review the image I was taking and so spot the problem.
