I was looking for some "human interest” shot to add to the panel. The open face helmets worn by the motocross riders give the opportunity to show the facial expression. This was one of the few shots that I thought was successful out of the many that I took at this corner. The problem was the overhanging trees that blocked out a lot of light (being sprayed with mud from the bikes didn’t help either!) By luck in this shot a shaft of light just caught the rider as he passed.
