For the sake of variety I was looking for a close-up of a modern single seater. Good weather tends to mean that drivers and riders fit dark visors to their full-face helmets and so prevent the "eye contact" so beloved of photographic judges. I thought that the iridium visor used by Alex Storckenfeldt still created interest however. For those familiar with Oulton Park this was taken through the gap in the barrier at the crossing point at Lodge Corner and so there was only a very narrow “window” available to get the shot.
